A booth means you walk past the line, you have somewhere to sit at 3am, and someone bringing drinks over instead of you fighting for the bar.
Every booth carries a minimum spend, and all of it goes on drinks. It is not a cover charge. You were spending it anyway, so you may as well be sitting down while you do.
